MYTH – Smart / Wealthy people manage money well

Have you fallen for the belief that someone with a college degree automatically knows how to manage their Money Life? What about someone with a lot of money in the bank? Do you assume that means they get their bills paid on time?

Managing your money on a day-to-day basis requires skills that many think come automatically just from getting an education and having money in the bank. This is a myth.

The skills it takes to:

  • be organized around getting bills paid on time
  • have money available to handle day-to-day expenses
  • make good decisions when the unexpected happens

is not tied to wealth or (sadly) your formal education.

So, if you meet someone who seems to have it all together because of their gorgeous house, nice car, fancy purse or shoes – don’t fall for it.  It really means nothing.
